Microsoft Authenticator

I don’t know people mess with other apps, they never work, I have had less stable apps for 5 years now and they never work. Boo-who.

So in the middle of setting up an account you prompt me to review? STOOPID!

App worked perfectly fine before and now every time I try to use it on my phone it never brings my notification up to verify my account so now I can’t access my email because there’s no other way to verify my account. So fix the app.

I unfortunately have to use this because I’m a college student and it goes long periods where it just stops working and I stop getting the notification in the app and then randomly one day it starts working again it drives me crazy

I have had this app required for 3 accounts and have been locked out of every one of them. If you have to sign in on any other device other than a computer, the app is trash. If you have a work or school account that requires it, go ahead and put IT in your favorites because something is not going to work right.

How can I enter the code when the pop screen is blocking said code?! So frustrating

Microsoft: Do NOT IGNORE THIS REVIEW. It might save you from a lawsuit. Someone stole a password of my colleague who has 2 Step verification through the authentication app. The criminal was able to access my colleague email and send emails to other employees. You need to fix this issue ASAP.

I am currently unable to access my account due to a complete failure of the Microsoft Authenticator system. Whenever I attempt to sign into Outlook on either my phone or laptop, I am forced into two verification options: • “Enter the code displayed in the Microsoft Authenticator app” • “Approve the request in the Authenticator app” However, neither option works. I am continuously redirected to the Authenticator app, where no code appears and no approval request is available. This creates an endless loop that prevents me from signing in entirely. I am not given any alternative verification methods such as SMS, email, or phone call, which effectively locks me out of my own account. This has been ongoing for two weeks, and it is severely impacting my ability to use my Microsoft 365 business subscription. At this point, multi-factor authentication is not improving security—it is completely blocking access. I would like: 1. Immediate access to alternative verification methods (SMS or phone call) 2. The ability to disable or reset Microsoft Authenticator 3. A reliable recovery option that does not depend solely on the app This experience has been extremely frustrating and has significantly impacted my trust in Microsoft’s authentication system.

This app is clunky and unreliable. When it decides to not work you will find yourself completely locked out of everything. The entire time I had it tied to my school and work accounts it consistently did weird things. Having multiple accounts also seems to confuse the app and it will randomly choose one that it wont recognize. At times it would send a two digit code other times it wouldn’t. Cant stand this stupid unnecessary app. Everything already has a password and username login. It is absolutely unnecessary and only empowers microsoft to control your data!

Worst app on the planet

When a website prompts me to use the Authenticator to approve a sign in, the app used to automatically pop up a notification for me to enter the code, but for a few months now that feature is gone. Not sure if it’s a bug. Otherwise, app does what it’s supposed to do.

Please put this app back on Apple Watch. It was incredibly useful and super convenient. I’m not sure why it was removed, but please put it back.

Used to love the app, but the autofill passwords is gone and I can’t even use the app to find passwords

Does not help the user at all, it barely improves security coming from an IT standpoint, and it causes an endless f*king loophole trying to sign in if you have other emails or work accounts. Also, it’s very hard for someone not in the know to remove

Not intuit. Won’t let email open even though I’m administrator and reset password. Big hassle.

It refused signing in to my two ms email accounts. Had to delete then add again

Really time consuming and infuriating overall. I keep getting sign in attempt notifications, despite having all the security measures on.
