Waste of money and time
All of my data is gone after this update. I had been going strong for years and now it is empty. Nothing in the calendar, no tasks to mark. It’s like I’m a brand new user.
That was great. I was using it for a long time and I opened it up today and there was an update and everything’s gone so I guess we’ll try to import an old backup from a day or two ago but what the heck
This app is exactly what I had been searching for. The integrations with AppleHealth are awesome. Features I’d like to see is a count up option for the timer. I have a reading goal & tidying goal that I want to hit daily, but would like to track overage time to know when I am increasing regularly. An ability to see/ scroll through and print out the notes sections by task or by all for a date range. Give me more tasks. I’d love to have a separate 12 for work tasks Also an option for integrating time spent listening to Apple podcast app.
Feels like kind of a steep learning curve to do anything regarding editing or moving tasks to a different task
But the UX has always felt too limiting and uncustomizable. Would love an OPTION for a customizable view - like a list view or smaller icons (or even sub tasks) instead of the 6 icon grid on 4 pages, which feels very outdated for more advanced use cases. I find the limited layout with six icons per page honestly stilfing because of its rigidness. While it probably works for other users, it would be great to have options to make it look and feel the way each user would work for their routine. For instance - The new medication tracker couldn’t work for me because I’ve already maxed out the habits I can add. I’d even pay for this as an add on.
No home button. No back button. No intuitive way to delete a task.
Even for tasks that I do not have in my system
Trying to rearrange habits between screens is so frustrating as everything seems to shift randomly. Had to remove a star it’s so bad…
I struggle with repeating tasks like taking medicine or vitamins so this app does a great job. My only complaint is the “smart” notifications aren’t very smart. I’ll complete one day of a task tracked weekly and get a reminder an hour later. If I need to do something 3 times a week it should be easy to predict the best times for an alert.
I love: - that the UI has stayed the same since its initial release - still easy to use, tap and hold mechanic to complete a streak is very intuitive - haptic feedback when something is marked complete I like: - customization options (including backgrounds and color schemes), though I think it would be cool if there were a larger array of completion sound effects to choose from I dislike: - reminder notification is kind of negative (“you will lose your streak of X days if you don’t do this today”), wish that it was more positive and motivational in nature
Worst user interface ever. It’s completely unlearnable. And if you accidentally marks a task as complete there is no clear way to undo it. The watch complications are also horrible. Shame on the developers for not hiring an experienced designer.
Overall this is a very useful app. The way that it keeps track of your data is very clean and the Ui is very ergonomic. The only downside for me is that there are a limit of 24 streaks for the entire app. If they were to double it to 48 it would enable me to put all my tasks into one place so I can keep track of progress. If they just allowed more possible streaks this app would be perfect.
Really good tracking app, I highly recommend it if you are trying to track or make new habits. But I have a question to the developers, is it a limited number of events that I can track (4 pages, 6 items per page) I really can’t make more and have no idea why would that be limited.
Extremely unintuitive UI. Frustrating to use.
Not a big fan of the app design due to low information density in the app and widgets. It’s not for me, which would be fine if it was possible to preview the app before buying but it’s not. Process to request refund is annoying. Why not just let people see what they’re buying before they buy?
Not too complicated. Not too simple. This app has helped me a lot
You helped me master my habits. Thank you Streaks. You are amazing.
UX is clunky and you can’t have more than 4 pages (or 24 habits). Also, undoing logged actions requires shaking the phone, instead of just being a simple menu option. This app tries to hard to be unique and opinionated and falls flat on its face.
I’ve used this app to work towards various different types of goals in the last few years. Accountability to only myself is often not enough for me, but as soon as I see those days start to add up on here, it gamifies my habits enough to get me to stay on track! I love how customizable it is and also the visual simplicity. The widget is great too. Streaks allows me to build and stack my habits over time and does a beautiful job of helping me accomplish my goals.
