Reviews
I have been using Things 3 for years and it has been working well and very helpful. I recently noticed if I use voice dictation to write my tasks, it won’t save, the second I hit enter or exit dictation mode, all the texts I just dictated disappear. Can this problem be fixed? Thank you.
We need a better dark mode icon asap
I use it everyday to maintain my schedule and keep my ADHD in check. It’s actually fun to tic off those to-dos!
This app has made more an even more organized person. I wish I found it sooner.
Can't input any punctuation by iOS Pinyin!!! This bug has been occurring since some version several weeks ago, please FIX it quickly.
What I need MOST from any reminder app is an “in your face” alert that something needs to be done today. Having a little number on the corner of the app icon when there are undone tasks works PERFECTLY for me, but apps generally don’t describe whether they have it or not. So I held my breath when I bought this. But guess what — THERE’S A NOTIFICATION BADGE! I win! PS: Devs, please mention this in the app description!!
I used Things as my do-everything app, from 2019 to 2025. I’m moving to Todoist because I need a bit more features / functions, but things is GREAT for 95% of people and I will sing its praises forever.
I am no longer able to have the list feature on the front screen(the most beneficial feature) of my apple watch ultra 2
I literally can’t even open the app because the second I do, it completely crashes. This issue started on my iPad and now on my iPhone. Thing is that there is NO way to access on a browser. This is not a good back up option. Especially when the app goes down. This is devastating. I’m in the middle of so many projects and everything is in this app. I am trying to figure out how to move everything to a more reliable app. Really disappointing. If you can’t be without your to-do list, I’d highly suggest a platform with a back up web browser.
I wish there was a web version of the web and no problem if only apple users can access it, apart from this all good. 😇
Just recently started using things 3. It’s powerful and I’m now moving all reminders to things 3. The only thing I’d like to see is ability to assign some emoji or icon to areas. Great tool overall.
Things has been keeping me organized and up to date with my projects both big & small for many years now. I would really love for the widget to display reminders that have one of the multiple tags im filtering for. It seems like a reminder requires having all of the tags I’m filtering for to show up on the widget.
This app kept me organized through the onslaught of assignments, clinicals, exams, and state deadlines for nursing school. It’s so intuitive and beautifully designed! It makes my brain happy to use it, it is minimal. Thank you for the obvious care put into each little feature!
Having tried many other popular todo apps, Things 3 remains the defacto
Top notch app
The title pretty much says it. Why the devs thought we need a gigantic clear button is beyond me. Bump it accidentally and — poof! — your entry is gone. I’ve seen a dev reply to a similar complaint here in another review, saying to the user, effectively, “you’re doing it wrong .” Umm, no, it’s a lousy interface choice.
I tried and gave up on things and all to do apps several years ago because I was spending more time creating my list than doing things. I recently asked ChatGPT if there are any apps out there that solve my list of which in a nutshell was easy to manage and intuitive and things three came up. I downloaded my previous version on my iPhone and even bought the $50 app for my MacBook Air and after a couple of days, I am so loving life!!!!
I really love things. I’ve tried several times to simplify my apps and use more default apple options but I keep coming back to things. The visual design keeps things simple and easy to manage but this doesn’t sacrifice functionality. Things packs a lot into a little. I finally completed the sample project. It’s well designed and practical. Gets you up and running quick. Great app! Thanks for all the work that went into it.
How do I use this app and for what purpose? I’m using Actions for everything as I’m paying yearly for the bundle and Apple Reminders for everything doing with managing my devices already as is. Any suggestions?
What’s not to love about this app!! The only thing I would add, is a “procedure” section whereby one can store a template of a particular process with its check off list of tasks. Then when I need to perform an entire procedure I can make a new instance and use the instance. A programmer would call that a Procedure Class.
