Reviews
The mechanics and content of this app are very good but I can’t use it for my autistic child. He has both echoic & screaming stereotypy. When he does well the game screams with joy. He echos the scream. Which cascades into endless screaming. Other learning apps use Woo-Hoo! Or EEEE OOOH! This one screams.
This game isn’t really fun it is a learning game but I recommend it’s not really for 4+ I think it’s really just for four through six year olds the game is a really good game but then again I recommend six through four year olds, have a good day/Night.
Hey this is a very clever application. It has really helped my son. The only improvement I would like to see is something that had the child trace the letters to help them really learn the shape of the letters.
It is so much easier than the other ones I have
The sound unexpectedly stopped working
When I was at school everything was fine and when I came back and I downloaded this game and when I played it….. I was on the planet thing and I was almost done…. And I was put back on the first planet and with two items and zero stars and it is super bad
My 4 year old likes this app. It’s in a video game format which helps him enjoy it more. They have little mini games inside the app, so if he doesn’t like one of them he can pick a different one. If you don’t like the video game format, this isn’t for you. (Duolingo ABC is a good one)
It’s so fun I love learning games I love
All the lessons are coooooool. I stopped, but I'm back at it. It’s too small for me and younger for me but it’s fun!
My daughter is three and knows all her letters and their sounds very well. This app has many situations where the next step isn’t intuitive so I have to help her figure it out. It’s also VERY repetitive in nature. I will make a child go through 6 rounds of the same game with the same letter just in a different order. She’ll make it through one letter and then be bored. It doesn’t have any real progression or advancement at the speed that she needs.
We have tried several reading apps and this one is the only one my son has actually ASKED to play. It’s fun and engaging while also reinforcing key reading sounds and skills he is learning at school. It’s a good tool when he gets tired of “homework”.
Me and my little sister have so much fun learning and this is good for her because she is in preschool and she is a level one but we are going to work on that so yeah but I also love this game because I tried getting more games like this but they all cost money and this is the only one I love because I played it and I am the oldest out of all my siblings and I still play it so everyone should download this app
I’m so impressed with how this free app teaches vowel combinations to my rising first grader!
My 3 kids have loved learning on Teach Your Monster to Read. My five year old chooses it often for tablet time.
I love this app! My son enjoys playing it too and I love hearing him learn by repeating the word sounds. Highly recommend this app! Worth every penny.
This a wonderful app !!!I remember playing it when I was little and I loved and then I downloaded it for my little sister and she loved it. She had so much fun playing it and loved the missions we’re fun and interesting and making her monster
Just to scary
I tried ABC Mouse and Hooked on Phonics and several other “highly” rated games for my kindergartner. None of them even come close to the quality, the fun, and the effectiveness of TAMTR. Save your money on the other scams and go with this.
As a Kindergarten teacher I just recently added this app your my reading group! All of my students are loving it!
My son loves this part of school every week! He loves taking care of and learning with his monster.
