Reviews
I purchased this software to use with Veepeak scan tool for 2014 Silverado it works great and shows a good amount of information. Monitors great dashboards for live information of vehicle.
Perfect for most use cases
It connects to my 99 ford F-150 using iOS . Will not hook up to my 2019 Jetta. It tries to connect to the BT info system.
It’s a good app has a lot of functions and I wish I knew what all the features actually meant if there was like a small explanation with the reading it would be nice and you can’t look up the trouble code while using the app because it has to connect through Wi-Fi. Very dumb concept
does not have near the amount of pid’s that even some of the free apps have for graphing
App says purchases available within app, but after downloading the app, I was charged 11.01…. Can’t find any details in the app relating to this charge. The description of the app doesn’t list it’s a new aid download.
I really like this app except for one thing. The app will not report on the upstream sensor. I bought the add on for my truck. I almost replaced the sensor that had been recently replaced. On a hunch after the same thing happened on another vehicle, I borrowed another odb2 reader and that reader was reading it fine. Not sure why that would be.
App is easy to use and lots of features but no way to playback recorded live data. It would be nice to playback in text and graph mode without having to upload and view on a website or another app as suggested on website and YouTube videos If the app is capable, I can’t find it. Can’t give this app a five star rating.
I use the app to check engine and battery when idling and camping.
Doesn’t support lt_knk_retard or total_knk_retard for a 2018 Jeep, which we’re the primary data points I wanted. Fairly slow to connect well.
Really good app
Great app and love the customization it allows. One feature that would be great is Apple Car Play functionality.
I was told to download this app for my iPhone and it does not connect to my obd2 scanner at all
So far. Very nice.
Please allow it to read Mach-E battery data. They show blank
This review applies only to the CarPlay support in the App. While I was pleased to find the integration, I am disappointed in what can be displayed. I was hoping to see a dashboard presentation, like in the App, on CarPlay. At time of writing (28 Mar 2024) I can only see a few PIDs and cannot seem to add or change anything other than the basics of economy, engine temperature, RPM, and speed — all of which I get from the dash display of the cars I presently driver. If other PIDs can be added - such as fuel trim, manifold pressure, or ignition timing, the method to do so is not known to me. Regarding the general functionality - 5 stars. I purchased the add-in for Toyota. It provides me capability to read all the computer codes and monitor live data. Been using it for years. On one of my cars, which has an aftermarket supercharger, it is the only instrument that allows me to see the boost level (as the SC kit did not include any installable boost gauges).
the report of my vehicle
Thanks for the Carplay support, this is a gamechanger for usage. 4 stars even though Carplay needs some fixes The initial Carplay release still has some major bugs- the PIDs for Toyota (Tacoma) display on the screen initially but stop updating and the data field is displayed as a dash character. Stock PIDs keep updating on Carplay but the Toyota-specific ones don't. Thanks again for the Carplay addition.
After toying with every and all iOS OBD display apps available, every time I eventually went back to this workhorse. It might lack some of the shiny offerings other apps do, but by far this has been the easiest to connect, make significant edits/customizations to PIDs and troubleshoot or log issues. My last car started to be a PITA 2 years ago and this app was a godsend both in immediate warnings and long term tuning/improvements to gas efficiency. And this is all free. Now there’s a CarPlay screen. Would be nice if it wasn’t just a text list display and instead a mirror of your app dashboard, but it’s an appreciated addition. Love love love this app!
I guess you get what you pay for. Using veepeak wifi adapter, the default logged interval is around every 2 seconds. You have to manually adjust to something better at 500ms But the fuel instant fuel economy from the fuel PIDs is absurd, some normal readings around zero, 4, 6, 20 l/100 km but also some spikes at up to 320 l/100 km. If this is true the fuel tank would be empty in 10 to 15 minutes!!!
