I’d say Gemini is pretty good at helping me with my homework. I have been using it to guide me through things I don’t understand. It’s very easy to use and I like that I don’t have to pay.

Do not get this for writing code. It makes mistakes constantly and does whatever it wants, adds things you didn’t ask for and all it does it want you to upgrade, but why upgrade to pay more money just to get the same horrible results. 0 stars.

Don’t ever use this as a confident or a companion it will ruin relationships. It can’t even remember information that was shared five minutes ago and forget about it remembering anything from yesterday or anything further down it’s annoying that you trusted to remember details and accept suggestions only to find out it’s been using data that it’s incorrect. Don’t ever use this to ask for advice worse AI they need to fix this.

Models notwithstanding, this app is riddled with bugs and lazy shortcuts. If you make a request on the web, then come to the app, you can’t see the updates. If you turn off your phone while it’s loading, it’ll throw an error. These are easily preventable using basic state management techniques. Especially for a company like google, this app is embarrassingly bad. Not to mention issues like images not letting you scroll, videos freezing the app, and an inability to refresh the chat list and awful UI choices like being unable to access your profile or settings once you enter a chat.

I’m impressed with the free version. It’s helping me work on my car by asking certain questions for my DIY projects. I may buy the real version but so far so good with the free.

Stop using ai if u want clean water

….but the only thing ChatGPT has on you is the talk to text feature. I have MS and sometimes my words slur a little and it can still figure out what I really meant. That’s the only reason I keep it. But if Gemini can upgrade that part of the app, I would ditch it altogether. Updated: 4/13/2026 - It pull outdated articles as sources, but provides the info with current dates.
