It’s very useful for trips around the world I now know ten languages

Quickly turning into garbage. How does a billion dollar company screw up this badly? Latest update messed up most of the language paths so that the lessons include words/phrases that you never encountered before, and in a context that provides little, if any, help. And if you want to learn it wrong, this is your app. In many cases (guessing 50% or greater), hints are absolutely wrong. In a few cases (5%?), the answers are wrong. Audio lessons suddenly jumped from being a mix of the language being learned and English to being entirely in the new language. Reddit is filled with complaints about all of this across many languages. How something this disastrous gets rolled out without any QC or beta testing in a company this large is astonishing. I would expect something much more professional, particularly for a company that pushes so hard for you to pay for this.

I love Duolingo. Language learning is really helpful when you are traveling.

First of all, I really like the app, however, considering the advancement of AI and how advance are the apps like Praktika is, I feel like Duolingo is being left behind on this new AI feature. The AI character Lily is very boring to say the very least she always looks really tired and sad. She’s not really engaged with you. She doesn’t really wanna talk to you in fact whenever I talk to her she always try to quit the conversation after 2 to 3 minutes. The app could be improved by making the AI more energetic and more helpful for example correcting the conversation using the memory to improve the learning to be more tailored to individual experience. Other features, such as short clips of videos would also be helpful. I feel like this step under the progress. Progression is a little too rigid.

I’m learning Hindi, and this app mainly focuses on reading and writing. I just wanna learn how to speak and understand, I don’t care about reading and writing. I wish there was an option to only do listening and speaking, instead of using Hindi script they could use English script and write in Hindi. Like an example is like “Car” in Hindi but in English script is “Gaadi” if you know what I mean. I hope Duolingo considers this because I’m sure many people also want this option

It’s a great app for beginners to learn words and how languages 😊work also good for more advanced people trying to keep there skills sharp🔪. But not very good for real life conversations🫠😤😞

Duolingo is the best learning app ever! It is fun and engaging and very useful! With just a 10 minute lesson a day you can learn up to 50 words per week! It helps with any language and is effective! At first I thought I would only know how to say simple sentences but within a few months I learned to speak full on conversations! Totally recommend! And as they say Spanish or vanish!

A great app to learn a new language. It shows a lot of confidents to the learner. The only concern is that they should put less adds and just let you learn. The energy should not be needed. I highly recommend this great learning app for any age. Duolingo you are doing great! 🙂

I love Duolingo to practice my Spanish

Unfortunately, there is very little human customer service, which can be frustrating. After my subscription expired and I wasn’t sure if I would renew (because of the lack of customer service), I had to listen to ads. One of them said “click here” and when I did, there was a message saying that child porn had been downloaded to my phone because I clicked. I contacted customer service and never heard back, because they are mostly bots and AI and simply don’t care.

Duo lingo helped me a lot and made me learn a bunch of things I think kids in middle school should learn this especially if ur trying to go to a state where people speak a different language and Duolingo is helping me set a goal for myself

Best language learner app.. but Duolingo the bird.. my bread and family are missing bc I forgot a day and lost my streak.. 😟

Siempre me ha gustado su aplicación desgraciadamente aquí en Cuba no tenemos cómo acceder a usar la versión de pago dentro de la aplicación y por temas de conexión a veces es un poco difícil mantener la racha. Aún así la mantuve una vez por dos años hasta q bueno enferme y la perdí lo cual me causó frustración porque era una racha larga y deje de usar la aplicación hasta hace unos días. Gracias por su trabajo en la aplicación.
