Capital One Mobile

Have great credit score and first time ever Capital One dropped our limit because we never used that much and down went my credit score. All just before going on a 2 week vacation. That didn’t make me very happy. I have my whole family using Capital One. 😤

Capital one was great before they switched from Master cards to Discovery. A lot of companies in GA don’t take discovery cards so it’s a bit of a problem other wise I’d recommend them for banking and credit lines!

Capital One’s new trick is to hijack your app and make you give them your income, even when they don’t need it. You ‘need’ to ‘update’ your income w/them to “consider you for future credit line increases.” If you don’t do this, they don’t let you move past that screen to access your account. Well, I don’t want a credit line increase, and when I do want one, I’ll ask for it. In the meantime, I’m very responsible with my CO account, and always pay it off fully well before payment is due. You don’t need any more info from me. Thus, my current income is none of your damn business. Stop denying my access to my online account just so you can collect and sell more of my personal data to others to make more money.

Sorry I been late on my payment it is in between my pay periods!! Falls at a bad time!!

Odd that there isn’t a menu option to see a list of account activity like every other banking app or their own desktop website. I had to ask a question to the chatbot in app, and it gave me recent transactions 5 at a time. Otherwise the app is easy to use to Zelle money, check balances, deposit checks and most other common banking activities.

We’re living in 2026 and the chatbot in the app is completely useless. I can’t call customer service while I’m working and there’s absolutely no other way to contact them. For this reason alone I’ll never use this company again. Not to mention the outrageous interest rate. They charged me interest on a zero balance. I paid off my balance over a month ago.
