Unable to redeem companion certificate via app

I’m a United loyalist and thought I’d try Delta for a family transatlantic trip. While the trip itself was just fine (in line with United’s service; certainly not any better) the Delta app is pretty awful compared to the United app. Slow and limited features. But the worst part is a bug in the seating tool. Out of curiosity, I tried to price an exit row seat for myself on a domestic portion of our flight home, and the app moved my entire family out of our original seats and would not let me put us back. I had to use a laptop and proper web browser to get everything put back the way we had originally booked. Selecting and checking seats is a basic part of any airline’s app. Delta fails in this respect. Back to United and its superior app I happily go!

All I want is a copy of my boarding pass to file in Wallet, and Delta forces me to download an entire app just to get it? That’s anything but customer friendly.

There is no way this app has a 4.8 rating. It’s very glitchy and always disappears right at the 24 hour check in time. What’s up with that?

Delta automatically “upgraded” me from the exit row aisle seat that I selected to a middle seat in comfort plus, which I did not want. My seat preference in the app is aisle. App was no help to get my original seat back so I called customer service. Wait times over an hour both times. Then I used the text an agent tool. I repeated myself over and over again and after agent looked me up he called me the wrong name. Then he took so long to check on my request, it timed out. Fools up and down this company. It is an easy app fix!!! One star across the board for Delta.

Disability Services has been excellent in providing help and information.

It’s obvious that this is a wrapper for their website, which is fine mostly. However, there is something screwy about form validation. It struggles to acknowledge that you have things correct. They have obviously NEVER tried to reset password through the app. Once you’re in- it’s great. Does what it should to show your flight.

I’ve been waiting for the app to show the points I earned since Monday, there’s nothing. Go to the website and it’s been updated. I just looked at a flight I took 6 hours ago. App, still shows zero points earned on the 2 flights I’ve done this week, website has both flights. Why doesn’t your app work?

I can’t even get into my app. This app sucks. Guess this is why I don’t fly Delta.

Loaded new update and now unable to log in to see profile. Welcome page first section is blank. Clicking on profile or Skymiles just keeps spinning.

I have iPhone 7 - it will not update

The app on the Apple Watch doesn’t sync with iPhone

The app works well and has a clean, well-thought-out design. I’ll gladly give it 5 stars once my miles update properly on launch or when refreshing the screen (iPhone 16).

Frequently, and at the worst possible times, refuses login attempts and stays in offline mode, leaving me with no access to critical travel information

I should not have to get an app to check in and receive my boarding pass in my Apple wallet. This is stupid especially since I didn’t need to do it for many flights before. As soon as I logged onto the app, it bombarded me with notifications asking app to track my location etc and why would delta need to track my location?? Does not make sense. Deleted app immediately after receiving pass.

With their new update to IOS 17 I cannot access my flights or my delta membership account. I am not going to buy a new phone just to have access to my account. I have an iPhone 8 and I feel this is extortion.

This app and I use it a lot as a platnium and sometimes diamond , Consistently throws error code , try again later . If I’m willing to spend 7-10k on a ticket or tickets, I would expect the app to work at the time I need it .

Sure can be done in the app but every tap is a loading screen.

I keep getting logged off while using the app. Then I can’t log back in even after restarting my phone, or deleting the app followed by another restart. I have to keep trying these same steps multiple times to be able to log in. Fix this Delta!
