Reviews
Imagine paying $9.99 to download an app, and then imagine being asked to pay another $9.99, yearly, to access weather Watch statements.
I’ve been using RadarScope since its inception back in 2008, and I’ve been consistently impressed with how far it has come over the years. The progression in available features, performance and overall capability has been remarkable, all while remaining reasonably priced for what it offers. This is my go-to app for tracking storms in real time. Whether I’m looking at precipitation intensity, velocity data, or correlation coefficient, the level of detail on this mobile app is outstanding. It provides the kind of information you’d expect from professional grade tools, right in your hand. In my opinion, there simply isn’t another mobile weather app that matches RadarScope in terms of capability, reliability and depth of data. If you’re serious about weather, this app is hard to beat!
Thinking it sounded like a good deal I paid $10. It seemed to be a quality weather app. Instead you get to see one radar station at a time. lol. That's $10 I'll never get back. You're better off just stepping outside and looking up.
I’ve been a RadarScope subscriber since at least 2013. It has given my family and me much peace of mind during the spring and fall storm seasons. Living in Oklahoma, the weather is life-threatening at times and through this app, I have become a trained weather spotter through their Spotter Scope affiliation. I keep the pro tier 1 subscription all year but bump it up to the more expensive tier 2 during the springtime. It is worth the extra money for the additional information. Highly recommended.
This has been my “go-to” app for years, but this new update makes it much less functional. If this update remains, I wouldn’t recommend downloading it.
Usually this app is a 5 plus!! But the new color change of the weather legend, has done nothing but cause confusion!! Not a app to use for weather safety, with this configuration!! Unfortunate!! Would not recommend!!
App works well, and the colors on the bottom can help any beginners with understanding radar, and a lot of other things.
This app is super great especially when tracking storms or keeping updated on weather in your location also should get pro very useful
Great app; however, future forward radar would be greater.
Instant disappointment. After the reviews I read, no data tracking , recent updates , I thought this would be the one. I have never spent 10 bucks , only to get a pixelated low detail radar that doesn’t even compare to local radar. Add free was also a nice bonus but not worth the money . Deleting this.
This radar app could be fantastic but it lacks some basic features that would make it more user friendly. For starters, it would be nice to have the option to change how a PDS/Considerable tornado is displayed. As of now, they simply flash red, however the majority of the tornado community associates pink/magenta with these storms. They are easier to see and wouldn’t hurt to add. This would a great addition. It would also be helpful to include cameras to see what’s happening in real time. Similar to Radar Omega. This app is too expensive not to have customizable features. It could be great, but it’s lacking. Please listen to the needs and wants of your users.
I reported a bug with the app and they responded to my bug report and they posted a fix the same evening. The best radar app out there and I am a very happy subscriber.
Before I even open this app. The price displayed is $9.99 out the price that was charged $17.99. I’m going to keep this happen anyway, but this should probably be fixed.
RadarScope has long been a leader in this space, but there are now several competitive alternatives. While a $10 app price is reasonable, placing MRMS behind the Tier 2 subscription is difficult to justify when the same feature is available for free on WeatherWise and WeatherFront. For this reason, I will not be renewing my Tier 1 subscription.
Me and my dad used this when we chased its the best weather app out there do recommend
Needs free lightning tracker. But great other than that.
This app is awesome. Been using it for years. Need to make the app Apple CarPlay compatible. Would like to have it up to keep an eye on storms as I drive through them, without needing to take hands off of wheel. It’s now 2026 and still nothing.
I could be missing something but I thought I was paying for a whole weather app and not just a radar. For me, the app isn’t any better than WAPP fox 4 which is a whole weather app. My intention was to upgrade - I did - $10 for app and another $10 for pro that I thought would get me a whole weather app again. I respectfully request a refund or an explanation/directions to accomplish my goal to have a completely upgraded weather app.
Excellent app. If possible add winter weather advisories and adjust colors for winter precipitation for the United States.
Charges you 9.99 just to download the base app, then wants an additional 9.99/year to unlock most of the features.
