Reviews
Just wanted to say this, Noir and Wipr 2 make browsing the web much more enjoyable!
Overall it’s a great extension. Does what it says and gets out of the way. There are issues, though. For one you get white flash banged at night even with the dark mode turned on. It’s not clear if that’s a Noir issue or Safari however. The other major issue is the frequency of page crashes. On Reddit for example, zooming in frequently causes a page crash and reload. More than annoying, it loses content. More graceful failure handling would be nice (assuming it’s possible in the walled garden^W^W jail cell). Performance can also be a major issue, but that depends on the site. That aside, overall I’d give this a strong recommendation, even with what I’ve noted above.
Works great! But does not apply dark mode to PDF’s viewed in browser - that’s the one thing missing that I really wish it had.
Does what it saids and does it very well. Well done 👌
Works great on most websites except attachments from newspaper pages or their related apps. Then i get blinded as I have settings in Dark Mode. Hopefully new adjustments will address those too
Was continuously being blinded at night by bright Safari websites. This app stops that except for embedded charts. Would get a 5-star rating if it worked on embedded charts.
担心数据安全问题,申请退款不通过,那就差评喽~
What a relief to find this dark mode that works so well. One of my favorite websites would not use my built-in iPhone dark mode, and I hated using it, especially at night. Then I found Noir - all the added pictures and links on this website are intact and look super great in dark mode. An added plus is the various levels of darkness and themes if you choose. My eyes are so happy.
These days I forget I even have this installed because it behaves like such a natural part of Safari. You could tell me Apple integrated this feature and I would believe you. Absolute must-have utility, especially for bedtime scrollers like me.
As a 2 am Wikipedia reader, this is an absolutely essential app for me. Well worth every penny and more. This should be a core feature of Safari, but it isn’t, so thank you to the developer for picking up the slack.
It needs to do a better job of making UI elements on many websites unchanged/easy to read. Also, work on fixing this limitation “This website uses many bright images for background s and texts, which Noir is unable to darken.”
A simple app but incredibly well executed and thought out. Having the ability to customize dark mode color to any color is super cool and something I didn’t know I wanted. But most importantly it handles problem sites easily. Wish I switched years ago and saved myself the frustration using the free ones.
Thank you for this app, it’s a mainstay on my device.

Very nice QoL extension. Works pretty much flawlessly on the sites I browse. Nothing much else to say.
But I took a chance on this, and three bucks isn’t so bad so I went for it.. Glad I did because it's wonderful.
I wish I could add gradients to my themes, like having a theme that starts blue at the top and slowly becomes black as it descends tot he bottom. It would also be cool if you can add other decorative features, like stars or hearts.
I am so happy this app got me much much better due my low vision.
I love Noir and use it daily to force dark mode in Safari — it works beautifully for 95% of websites. But Google’s new highlighted text (the AI answer highlights using Scroll to Text Fragment) causes major readability issues — the highlight often shows up unreadable or clashes badly with the forced dark from Nior app. Let users add custom CSS on iOS Safari. Automatically detect and override Google’s scroll-to-text highlights so they don’t break the dark mode. This would make Noir the best tool on iPhone for night/dark mode!
Apple needs to hire the developer of this app. This is my review.
