DoorDash - Dasher

So I have been door dashing for a bit I wish that when you scheduled you would have access to more dashes sometimes it’s just not pinging and I can sit out waiting for a long time I think in shopping ones we should get paid for our time in the store like a base amount and then the dash not just the dash I think when we have to wait for more then ten minutes at a McDonald’s we should come up with something because we are losing money just waiting We should not be punished for declining an offer we should not be punished for not finding items in a dollar general we need better support not a computer generated person who can’t help

Customers should NOT be allowed to to leave a $0.00 tip no matter how short the drive it’s the principle mfs gotta drive, get gas, go shopping or have to use iPass sometimes with no reimbursement. Also stop lowering ratings because we don’t except $2 orders for 8+ miles drives. I’m gonna always pass

Dasher pay is unsustainable. The orders progressively get worse and are paid less. I’m spending twice as much on gas a week than I make. I’m actually in debt now. The system does not compensate drivers equally considering gas prices and inflation. It’s cheaper to stay home and not work for DoorDash. 1. Constantly receiving orders that I have opted out of in my preferences. 2. Consistently getting orders that not in stores systems when I arrive or have already been picked up or have been canceled by customer. 3. I drove 15 mins to a store waited 10 mins for them to tell me it’s not in system. I should’ve compensated for wasted time and gas but instead my ratings were lowered for unassigning from the order since they don’t provide any other choice for dashers! Even if it’s the customers request! Most restaurants employees are rude and purposely unhelpful.

Been dashing for almost 2 years. The money is good, but the app needs an overhaul. Sometimes the “order complete” button won’t work. Now they have a scan name feature when picking up the order. It will lock up and you’re not able to confirm the pick up for several minutes. I often have to turn off my phone and reload the app for it to work. That app is messy!

Si sabes moverte bien y eliges buenas zonas, se puede generar buen dinero. Además, los clientes en general son respetuosos y el soporte responde cuando se necesita. Es una excelente opción para quien quiere trabajar de manera independiente y generar ingresos rápidos

I don’t be getting no orders for like 20 min I just be stuck and I’m like dam don’t wait more then 2 min so I sit here and like get all the bad orders I wanna make a lot of money I’m on a e-bike but can hold a lot of stuff

The app glitches ALOT. crazy they can hardly pay us better as drivers. When the company made 13 BILLION For 2025. And you send me $5 for gas relief wtf is that gonna do!?!? PAY US MORE. BOTTOM LINE. half of the time the customer doesn’t tip.

I give it a three star because I don’t think it’s fair that even though they say it’s optional we don’t have to accept every order but if we decline certain orders your acceptance rate drops and when it gets to a low number it’s almost like you have no choice but to accept anything. It’s not fair

I’m incredibly grateful for DoorDash. If you remain steady and make it to the platinum level it is more than worth it. Most days I make over $100. It’s changing my life and my family’s life. I struggle with many different physical and mental illnesses so having the opportunity to make money while driving around to new places I never would’ve seen (I love driving & exploring, now I’m getting paid for it!) and only face to face with customers maybe half the time (and they are happy to get their stuff!) this has been the best job for me. Thank you DoorDash for the opportunity and continuing to work on the app so it just gets better and better!!!🙌🏻👏🏻⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The app works really bad. A lot of bugs and it stops working every time when I get a new delivery order

The pay absolutely sucks and so do the tips. You have to either live in a wealthy community or be nearby to one in order to get good a decent amount within a few hours. I’m not sure how someone who picks up the order, verifies the order for the customer and also even delivers it to them only gets a 7 dollar tip or even less than that and if you decline it then it counts against you. Oh, also to mention the customer could live 30 minutes away and you’re expected to deliver it… For only 4 dollars :)

They didn’t fix anything. Now it pauses my music any time I enter or exit the app. I’m making less on gold status after they updated my area to the points system than when I didn’t have a tier. Chat support has quickly become AI bots

Consistently getting orders that require 20 + min wait but the app says it should be ready for picking Within 2 mins of me arriving at the store. You are purposefully assigning orders that were just placed because the delivery location is near by. I could have picked up multiple orders that were ready instead of waiting an hour for an order that was supposed to be 15 and pay $6. In no economy is $6 no tip after waiting an hour is fair pay. Restaurants need to be required to print out food receipts AND SCAN THEM ONCE FOOD IS PACKED AND COMPLETED. Then they can be assigned a driver. You are tricking drivers thinking a $6 order will be fast and we can get another order after. No it ends up taking over an hour to complete the one order. It could have been assigned to another driver later. When it was actually completed. I drove almost 3/4 of my tank and made $35 in 6 hours this app is a joke. I’m a platinum dasher and can’t even make enough to pay for my next tank of gas for my next dashing shift. FIX EVERYTHING.

Never delivering with this company again. Turns out the pay is so bad because they spend all their money on right wing propaganda

I’ve done over 5k lifetime deliveries on and off over the last 5 years. I’ve maintained a 4.9 out of 5 star rating this entire time. My account has been deactivated over 10 times throughout the years. Each time it was harder to get my account back. I have dozens of emails telling me that the suspension of my account had no reason and no purpose. If they ever paid a living wage I’d sue but I don’t have enough for groceries doing this full time. Don’t do DoorDash and don’t even buy from them if you can

My hours got cut for work so I had to find something else to compensate. DoorDash has been a lifesaver so I am very thankful and if I get stuck or have issues, especially when service isn’t I’m able to get whatever I need resolved whether that marking an order complete or issues with drop off.

DoorDash allows people to not tip. We’re here to make money not charity.

I should report this business for fraud! Their customer service is downright brutal! Extremely inconsiderate bunch! Both map apps were wrong; I drove around for literally an hour, and then when I went to call Doordash Customer Support to explain to them my problem they proceeded to call the store and it turns out they had an address that was 20 minutes away. I said this is ridiculous. I’m not gonna drive another 20 minutes now after driving one hour for 14 bucks. So they unassigned me and said not to worry they’re gonna reimburse me the full amount only to find out. They only reimburse me two dollars shame on them! It is a big turn off dealing and working with this business. Sorry to say… This negativity really overshadows all the good associated with being a Dasher.

Door dash is unfairly rating driver based on the availability of the items found at store which is not something drivers have any control over what so ever. Also negatively impact rating based on items found oh final & order total items found. Do over can only pick up the items that are actually in stock! Thenew rating system is is absolute ridiculous. I’ve always had extremely fair rating & completed over 2000 orders in the past until the new updated point system version. Basically all good rating amounts to nothing.

If you are willing to accept 15 miles 30 minute trips that pay 5 dollars, for the first several weeks of work, you will get to a level where this app ca be a full time job. But if you need -n immediate consistent income and a platform that helps you, and gives you decent orders, then this is NOT the app for you
