Koala is 1,000% worth the small amount of money (one time payment). This app is super versatile, and even supports 24 bit audio. I personally love how it allows me to use my preferred samples. If you’re into making beats and working remotely and staying creative, this app is one I highly recommend. It is almost like a Roland SP404SX. Can’t recommend enough.

It can’t send songs from phone to a different device correctly or at all so good luck wasting your time trying to connect them

Title says it all. This is definitely the best music making app and possibly the best app in general ever conceived by man.

Now the application is crashed happy I’ve lost two very important songs for clients because the app crashed had the sequences no sounds

I absolutely love this app. I don’t ever write reviews, but this developer has created an app that’s worth hyping. I’m a touring musician and this allows me to be creative and stay inspired while on the go. The workflow is simple enough to jump right in while being flexible enough to grow with you. Please keep adding new features! They are always exciting to discover!

Hands down the best money I’ve ever spent on any mobile purchase ever. Koala Sampler is incredibly powerful and easy to get in the flow. This is a labor of love, and I love it! Buy every add-on and bell and whistle and you’ve still spent the best $25 in your music hobby/life/career.

Dear Marek — please PLEASE just add choke groups to the new Chopz feature — this is definitely a “missing” aspect to the new feature. Other than that, as usual, Koala is killing it! A way of triggering “scenes” (and therefore a scene-launcher) would also be very welcome, so that we don’t need to work “destructively” with our “midi clips” so to speak (“scenes”).

This app leads to hours and hours of creativity, and the people who build it are heroes in my mind and in the community that’s grown around it. It is fabulous, unique, and different. I love the videos people post of their jams and the social media pages as well. I love the tools and the accessibility. Koala is everything good about the Internet.

It would be perfect if it had autotune. I would abandon GarageBand completely if not for a lack of autotune on this app. Amazing piece of software though

I’m an absolute novice to electronic music, and in about a week I was able to make a song I like. It’s easy, it’s fun, it’s in my pocket all the time, and it’s bafflingly inexpensive.

Stem separation keeps crashing

If I’m on the go I pull out koala sampler, if I’m in my studio i pull out koala and use the AU and run koala inside ableton. I would much rather use koala for sampling than mpc, maschine , due to the hands on approach. Simply dive in head first. With that said, One thing ~ if we could load Audio Units into Koala to sample from directly that would make this app the absolute king . ~ King Koala update ?

Most importantly I think there should be auv3 support for effects. And I understand you may want payment for your work so include that in the mixer paywall. Also, it would be nice to set the timing on the loop feature of a specific one shot for instance looping a hi-hat becomes unusable sound because it's looping so fast it's no longer on beat. There are a few more but I would love to see those two updates in the near future.

Koala Sampler has allowed me to do so much with music. I couldn’t have imagined being this creative with sampling. This app is worth every penny because of how many effects and options are available to make music. It beats the SP-404 in terms of ease and how quickly anyone can create a beat 🐨

I love this app and can’t really replace it.

Love this app so much! Used to make beats in college and moved away from it, but this app makes it so easy to play around with sampling on the go that I’m actually considering putting out some music again. The add ons are inexpensive and totally worth it too.
