Microsoft Teams

I have no idea how it’s possible for an app in 2026 designed by a company with as many resources as Microsoft to be this dysfunctional. The app is just impossibly slow on the phone. It takes several minutes to load messages (that I see on my Home Screen as banner notifications), and crashes constantly. It cannot send pictures from my phone (still loading, even months later), and the performance has only declined in recent years. I don’t get it. How is it possible to be this bad? How does this help Microsoft? I just can’t understand the choice to roll out such an awful product when you clearly are able to make a better one.

I just want to be able to send pictures to myself on my phone so they’ll appear on the computer. It is very convenient for me at work. However it seems like this function is constantly not working and updates don’t always help. Otherwise the app works fine.

Not Happy

Microsoft Teams has a frustrating issue where it constantly shows “1 unread message” even after all messages have been opened and read. This creates unnecessary confusion and makes it difficult to trust the notification system. I’ve checked across chats, channels, and activity feeds, but the unread indicator still doesn’t clear. This appears to be a bug rather than user error, and it affects productivity by forcing repeated checks for messages that don’t actually exist. For an app that’s heavily relied on for communication, notification accuracy is critical. Please investigate and fix this issue as soon as possible. A reliable unread message count is a basic expectation for any messaging platform.

The one app where you want reliable notifications. I have looked into all notification settings in the app, phone, and Windows program, but they don't make a difference.

No trouble logging into teams on my laptop but cannot login on my phone.

I have been trying to type and send a comment 5 times and this garbage apps keeps closing the channel tab I’m in. Beyond frustrated with this absolute trash piece of software. How hard is it to let a user type and submit a comment?? Unbelievable. I wish we would follow France’s example, moving to Linux and abandoning this junk forever. Now to try and submit that comment again. FML.

The app is functional and easy to use. It’s really intuitive and I like that the mute and video buttons are clearly marked with no confusion about whether it’s on or not. My only gripe is that you can’t see your side chats while in a call, only the meeting chat. The notification bar appears but you can’t get to it to respond.

Where does the app get 5 stars from? AI? It's just terrible! Incomprehensible, buggy! It freezes on all devices, both Windows and iOS! Just a mockery of people.

doesn’t let me view all messages in a teams general tab. I can see them on my computer but not on this app

If a post has a thread, it's impossible to reply, it says "Post restricted", this works in android and in PC, it's not due to permissions.

I do not like that this app forces you to use it to make FaceTime calls. Teams is strictly for my work. I should have an option to turn that setting off.

When in a chat of more than 2, teams app is unusable. I have to switch to desktop. Every time a new message arrives, my screen skips to that latest message. Never mind that I’m still reading 4 messages earlier, because I don’t spend my life chained to my phone and every chat dialogue. So I scroll to find it again, and hope someone doesn’t send another message, restarting this Sisyphean nightmare.

Our company switched to teams phones. That’s great for the desk jockeys of America but us in the field can’t use vibrate or watch notifications for calls. We have to have the ringer on which is disruptive to our operations. Please get the “calls” feature to support vibrate notifications for phone and watch on iPhone ASAP!

Used to work just fine. Now after the last update it’s telling me I’m using the wrong email address that I have been using forever and I can’t get in.
