YouTube Music

YouTube music is dope but everytime they do an update it always ruins the app.

Now why are u guys keep raising the prices. You are NOT affected by tiff’s so it means you just being greedy. One more price hike me and my family will just move along.

Love the app but some sort of sorting system for playlists should be added. I.e.. sorting by date added or artist name.

I had YouTube music since i believe 2020 or 2021. It was great back then I loved all the song choices and even edited music and it was a little more then Spotify but way worth it. It has slowly restricted me more and raise the price of everything. I loved this app and advocated for it but now it has just deeply disappointed me and honestly feel betrayed. Rip YouTube music. They just up it to a dollar -2026

Why do you guys always have to change up something ? The app was good the way it is. Now I can’t see lyrics or anything. Go back to the old setup.

This app is great and awesome one thing we don’t like is we are not able to lock screen when listening to music. I have the subscription but there are people who cannot that subscription.

Youtube Music was a nice app but they are trying really hard to be like Spotify right now. The UI is completely different from before like they suddenly care about user improvement when they haven’t bothered to fix their AI slop problem. There isn’t a problem with there being AI music as much as there is of Youtube music not doing anything about the lack of clarity from supposed “AI artists”. I will sometimes be listening to a curated playlist through YouTube Music and I suddenly get AI generated slop in my playlist. I kept looking around for an area for suggestions so they could add clarity for their consumers listening to music but instead I just have to guess whether or not the artist is using AI or not. It’s absurd how little care is put into the customer’s needs. In addition, the amount of ads is insane on the free version.

Takes long to download

Who’s on what? I’m all here for new hires but why tf can I click on related. I’m not paying for this.

I can live with the price increase for YouTube premium but every time I get use to the layout they change where everything is or straight up removes it as a feature. I use to be able to look at songs that were related to what I was listening to but that feature was removed and there’s nothing in the settings to put it back or to un-update the app. This new layout is terrible looking as well.

Hello!! :) I love YouTube Music as I’ve recently stopped using Spotify, but I’m getting a bit frustrated with the way saving songs to playlists works. For example, if I want to add a song to a playlist, it will automatically save it to whichever playlist I’ve added to most recently—and I like that there’s an option to change it; however, when it brings up my playlists, the order randomly changes and I have to scroll through all my playlists to find the one I’m looking for. This has also resulted in songs being saved to the wrong playlists and having to go through each playlist individually to remove those songs and put them in the correct playlist is quite annoying and frustrating. I highly suggest making it so it brings up a list of all your playlists (and maybe list them by most frequently listened to or most recently added to in order to make it more convenient and faster) immediately after saving a song so you can choose which playlist(s) to add it to, if that makes any sense. Besides that, I really have no other issues and love this app very much!! I would definitely be willing to give it five stars if it weren’t for the problems I’ve had with trying to save songs to playlists, that’s been a bit of a headache for me as well as other users, I’m sure. I hate the new layout

Whoever designed this update sucks

They need to put the lyrics and recommended songs tabs back where they were, clunky now

besides the ads it’s a really good music app, if you have premium it will make the experience way better

Algorithmic abuse and or manipulation.

App used to be great, but now it crashes all the time causing me to now look for alternatives.

I’ve been using Youtube Music since it was Youtube Red and they’ve gone through some rough algorithms over the years but whatever they did to this last one is horrendous. The “my mixes” used to actually be really good places to start a playlist from. Suddenly the last week or so they changed the algo and it’s the most random songs from artists I’ve never heard of and genres I don’t even listen to and almost nothing from my actual likes/downloads. Like the app is borderline unusable now unless you’re constantly searching up specific songs and starting a playlist from there until it inevitably goes off the rails a dozen songs in and you have to do it again. All this right after upping the subscription fee too, no less

They removed parental controls

The app seems to be in a near constant state of flux in regards to the interface layout when the functionality is appropriate as is most of the time. Every new feature, every change to the layout seems to only degrade its functionality and accessibility. And this extends to YouTube as a whole, especially with the inclusion of useless, I'd even say detractive, AI features such as Ask that are more invasive than anything to the system as a whole. They could at the very least have the decency to make it optional but instead I have to worry about mis-clicking on it and dealing with the consequences.
